Emma Elaine Olson, 87, of Hogback Lake, LeRoy, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 at Spectrum Health – Reed City Hospital. She was born October 23, 1925 in Cadillac to Seth and Violet (Jackson) Barber and attended Cadillac schools. Emma had worked as a presser in the clothing industry for RLD and Frankfort Garment. She had been a Girl Scout leader for several years; and enjoyed camping, skydiving, and water skiing. She married Robert Olson on October 25, 1945, who survives. They had been residents of the LeRoy area the last 30 years. Also surviving are 1 son, Bruce Leonard (Alena) Olson of Hersey, 1 daughter, Dardanella (Bruce) Miller of Orange, VA., 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by 1 son, Larry Kenneth, and 6 brothers and sisters. Per her request, no services are being planned. Arrangements were entrusted to the McDowell Funeral Home.
